Hi,
Glad to see you are interested in Anolis community.
The 2 commits you mentioned are ported from Anolis 4.19/5/10 kernel, for
the sake of compatibility. Regarding the 2 questions:
1. We are mostly focusing on addressing real problems in specific
business scenarios, so you can think it is a design constrains. For
example, we don't recommend using btrfs in Anolis OS.
2. As above described, since we don't cover all filesystems, these
changes might not be suitable for upstream. So we keep these changes as
a private feature.
BTW, if you have user scenarios on md/btrfs, welcome to submit patches
to Anolis kernel if you want. And you can join our DingTalk group
(34264214) to discuss more.
